Collaboration Project: Customized Embossed and Silver-Stamped Luggage Tags

Client Requirements: Develop luggage tags with embossing and silver-stamping processes. The client was dissatisfied with competitors’ products, which were too thin and lightweight, and requested a finished product that is thick and has a substantial texture, with particular emphasis on ensuring the durability of the silver stamping. The initial proposal was for PU material, later upgraded to genuine leather, with support for expedited sampling.

Project Service Highlights

Quick Response and Professional Assessment

On April 13, the client sent the design drawings for the luggage tags. Our team promptly conducted a process assessment, clarifying that embossing requires mold-making and that the clarity of the pattern must be verified through sample testing. At the same time, we provided a complete quotation list, including materials, mold fees, sampling costs, and unit prices for bulk production. We maintained pragmatic communication, avoiding exaggerated claims about process outcomes, and objectively explained that the clarity of the embossing would need to be confirmed through actual measurements.

Targeted Quality Assurance Commitment

We made clear commitments addressing the client’s pain points: optimizing the product structure to achieve a thick, substantial feel; ensuring the silver-stamping process is durable and resistant to peeling; respecting objective manufacturing limitations, openly communicating potential risks, and actively arranging sample tests.

Flexible Adaptation to Changing Requirements

In response to the client’s request to upgrade the material, we adjusted the plan from PU to genuine leather; accommodated an urgent one-week sampling request; and accepted reference samples provided by the client, making fine-tuned adjustments to the process details based on these samples.

Project Timeline

April 14: Confirmed the feasibility of embossing a 4.5 cm pattern and formally provided a quotation.

April 24: The client approved the sampling arrangement and finalized orders for 500–1,000 units, with a production lead time of 45 days.

May 6: The client proposed upgrading to genuine leather; we confirmed the revised plan and committed to enhancing the product’s texture.

May 7: Finalized hardware size details, officially launching the sampling phase.
